Bright and Shiny

Hi. So I have on shut down because of  Hurricane Irene.  It actually didn't hit too hard here in Elizabeth, New Jersey. A couple cars were stuck by my street becasue of flooding. However, by two o'clock they were out of there. Hopefully their cars aren't too badly damaged. Anyways, I have been stuck home with no electricity, until now.

I have just been going out to my cousins house to distract myself from there  being no technology. I actually enjoyed the weather Sunday it was so windy and it reminded me of what I miss the Fall...

So in the Spirit of Fall.... I want to show you the Fall Couture Looks I loved on The Runway.

Armani Prive

Christian Dior

Jean Paul Gaultier

Giambattista Valli

Azzedine Alaïa

Anxiously Awaiting......Fall!

As you all know I just want the summer to be over with. I'm more of a autumn and winter gal than a summer gal. I just like how the leaves change color, being able to bundle inside, going to the city when it's not hot but windy outside, getting a cup of coffee (hot), going out to cafes, and wearing fall clothes.

Instead of being obsessed with shoes, I rather have scarves. I have a drawer full of them and it keeps on expanding. You can never have too much bags either. Messenger bags are the best thing there is, second to scarves.

Fall Must Have's Are.....

I bought this trench coat from Forevere 21 for $38.

You can never have too much scarfs. I bought this scarf from forever 21 for $9.

Cute Messenger  Bags

Never Dying Trends.

Neutral Colors

Leather Jackets

A-line Skirts

I just can't wait to change the mannequins in my father's store to fall and winter clothing. I think I get more excited of dressing the mannequins than I do myself. It's exciting to pair clothing together to make it work.

Last  night, I had a discussion with my boyfriend about work. My dream would be able to work in a fashion magazine as an editor or art designer. If I were privileged to have the opportunity to obtain my dream; I would not consider it work because it's something that I love doing. However, he said that it is work because your getting paid to do it and have deadline's to meet. I was telling him that getting paid is a perk of having your goal met. I think if you don't like what your doing than it is work because you would not be happy and feel forced to go into work. However, if you love what your doing than it's not a job but a passion of yours that keeps you going.

I was firm on what I thought work really is and he was too.

It was a discussion that just went back and fourth.

What do you  think on the subject?

A Rainy Day

So it rained today! I am so glad for any sort of change of weather. It brings me great joy to see the rain come down. Funny thing happened today for the 100th time. I'm not sure why but people always think I'm younger than I am. I got told today by two lovely customers at my father's store that I looked to be thirteen years old and fourteen. I had to tell them kindly that I was nineteen not thirteen or fourteen. I wonder, Do I really look that young? It's hurting my pride here. Ah. Well there could be worst things.
So my day turned out to be a-okay. I had to clean my turtle. (I have two by the way.) A small one that we got awhile ago and another one we had for eight years or more. It wasn't really fun cleaning out the tank. Then I had the task of making salad. Yay! (Noo) Afterwards, I had to go down stairs to my father's store and keep my mother company with my little sister. (She's 10) I dread the years she becomes offically a pre-teen and starts slamming doors. Yikes. And thats where my trouble began being called those horrible numbers thirteen and fourteen. That will forever torcher my delicate soul. However, I got around to taking a picture of my oufit day. With some hassle because I made my little sister take it for me. She was not too happy about that. But regardless, she did it like a true champion. Thanks, you demon. I'm kidding. Before I  continue to ramble on and on about my day. Below is the picture and a drawing I did a couple of days ago.

P.S. I didn't even start on painting my boyfriend's anniversary presesnt. It's in 9 days!  Ahh.. Help. SOS. Someone...

Sounds of Music

Bands to check out are....

1. Grace Potter and the Nocturnals "Paris

2. The Black Keys "Your touch"

3. Passion Pit "Sleepyhead" A weird electro/high pitched sound.

4. Phoenix "A Long Distance Call"

5. Rock Mafia "Big Bang"

I have the Rock Mafia "The Big Bang" song stuck in my head. I've been replaying it over and over that I  think I might have broken the replay button on my ipod. =O
The music video is amazing by the way. It keeps you thinking if she really did die or is he just reminiscing on their moments together. Miley Cyrus outfits are insanely awesome. The sheer white gown at the beach is gorgeous. The outfit in the train station is my favorite. I posted a link to the video so you guys can see it for yourselves  =D
